PCOS Weight Loss ("the App") is a general wellness and nutrition-logging app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is published by ICHIME COMPANY LIMITED.
The following is saved locally on your phone only:
We do not operate a server or database that stores any of this, and we cannot see it. If you uninstall the App, it is deleted with it. You can also erase it at any time from Settings → Delete my data.
This is the one part of the App where information leaves your device, so it is set out in full.
When you scan a meal, the photo is resized on your phone and sent over an encrypted connection to a Cloud Function we operate on Google Cloud (region: asia-southeast1). That function forwards the image to OpenAI, which runs a vision model to identify the foods in it and estimate their nutrition. The result comes back to your phone, where you can correct any item before it is scored.
If you do not want photos to leave your device, you can log meals by entering the numbers yourself — Settings and the scan screen both offer "Log a meal manually", and that path sends nothing anywhere.
To call the scanning service, the App signs in anonymously using Firebase Authentication the first time you scan. This creates a randomly generated user ID held on Google's servers. It contains no name, email address, phone number or password, and you are never asked for any. It exists so the service can tell one device from another.
That ID is used for two things:
Settings → Delete my data erases everything held on your device and deletes the anonymous sign-in itself, which is what the scan-timestamp record is attached to. Those timestamps also expire on their own within 24 hours of your last scan. Uninstalling the App without using Delete my data leaves the anonymous sign-in to expire with them. We use Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used — for example how many people complete onboarding, or view the subscription screen. We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive reports when the App crashes, which include the error, the device model and the operating system version.
Some of these events carry figures derived from what you log: which goal you chose, how many struggles and symptoms you selected during onboarding, whether you set a target weight, and the score and meal type of a scan. They are counts and scores, not content — never the name of a meal, a symptom you ticked, a weight, or a cycle date. Both services may use a device or installation identifier to distinguish one anonymous device from another, in line with Google's own privacy practices.
PCOS Pro is a real, paid auto-renewing subscription, sold and processed by the store you installed the App from: Google Play Billing on Android, or Apple's In-App Purchase on iOS. Prices are shown in your local currency before you buy, along with the billing period and any free-trial terms. Payment is taken by Google or Apple, not by us: we never see or receive your card or bank details, and we hold no billing information at all.
You can view, manage or cancel a subscription at any time — on Android, in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions; on iOS, in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting your data in the App does not cancel a subscription.
The App is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
